Some Kirby Character

So last week I think, I made a Kirby Fan-Character. He's a waddle dee, but I will admit, I didn't do much to the original sprites.

I called him Magic Dee, however, I wouldn't make him a main character, as after thinking a bit more I realized he would fit a lot better as an enemy. (Like a regular Waddle Dee)

I gave credit where credit is due and so yeah! I hope you enjoy it!



Abilities: Summoning clones, Using smokebombs to teleport.
Weapons: Throws cards.
Likes: Magic Tricks.
Dislikes: People saying magic isn't real (kinda funny cuz I don't believ-)

This is one of my first sprites/spritesheets, so please give feed back! (Don't worry, I can take it)

I feel kind of bad because I didn't really do much spriting, I just added a hat to a Waddle Dee.

This thing looks really great! I like how you added some punches and kicks to this than just slapping on the hat to the basic Waddle Dee sprite sheet and calling it a day. Good job!

Looks pretty decent and it is great you added attacks but it IS just a waddle dee lol so it wouldn't hurt to make him a bit more unique.

Also, and this is just my opinion, but the hat seems to not mesh with the waddle dee sprites that well. I think it does work, but the hat sprite seems kinda jagged at some points. I think if the hat sprite had smoother edges it would mesh better with the waddle dee sprite. Just my $.02.

I agree with this. I would suggest changing the color of the sprite.

Yeah, I guess that's something I can work on. I guess I could make it a white Waddle Dee, and that would be quite fitting since he uses cards as weapons.

Yeah, I have some card sprites there if you look at the bottom.

Looks well done! : D If I ever make a kirby sprite animation, I'd love to use this sprite sheet if possible ( ^^) ( Currently working on a Mario one but ya know, asking before-hand ( °U°) )

You are completely and absolutely free to use these sprites, I've just made an updated one now which is now here!

 

By the way, tell me if it looks better! Are the colors alright?

Hmm, I think he'd fit a... Curtis? Y'know what, sure Curtis! Curtis the Waddle-Dee magician!
I guess that's his name now!

True, I'm pretty sure it's just common sense to give credit.
Me too! I'm super pumped!

Not to bombard you with another update, but I just updated his sprite-sheet.
Instead of punches he mainly just fights with a magic wand, and I included some punch sprites that can be used as throws you use those playing-card sprites at the bottom.


So this is basically the complete sprite-sheet for now. I don't think I'll do too much on the sprites until I really need to, so I'll just do animations with Curtis and see how it goes!

In the original post I said that he would be more of a side-character, but after updating him and seeing him become more of his own character, he could be the center of an animation if he wanted to be.
