Basic Splitscreen Tutorial!

Move the V-Cam to the right so that the two characters are on the left side. Then...wait..Your BG is exactly the same on both sides. You wouldn't be able to see much of a difference. Just duplicate your BG, Ground, and Sky and props, put it on the right side of the V-Cam, then put Zero where you want him. Then put the colored rectangle for the mask.

Sorry for that, but an easier way to do this is to paste a segment of the BG into the Screens graphic/movie screen.

Back on topic though: As Patt said yea the split should be more obvious, and as far as the background goes it was said before they shouldn't be the same... I'm not sure how the animation is going but Goku could be significantly higher in the sky and come down or something, just a pitch..

I just have one question; I'm following through your explanation thoroughly, but I'm stumped a bit at Step 4, hmm. My question is, while you have the mask there, do you indeed place another Vcam beneath the mask layer? This is my first time trying a split screen, so all my attempts so far have all failed, though I've gone through this tutorial at least 10 times.

no, he doesn't place a new vcam. it's just a mask.

it'd be awsome if there was a way to do this with 2 vcams though

Alright. I was just a little confused at that point. It might not even get much of an explanation, but I'll preview what I have so far:
