and remakes can be considered the same depending on what was changed.

a good example of a remake thats the same would be the 3ds version of Ocarina of Time. the game is the same but with better graphics. thus makeing it technically an update.

sequals can also be updates for that matter.

besides the rules for this site don't have anything against bumps to begin with.

whatever, we're both off topic, and i've made my point. but what I am about to suggest now is what the mods should be doing.

Lock a topic after a month or so of no posting and if the topic creator comes to you and says, "Can you open my topic back up?" or something like that then yeah. Unless they're going to post something stupid.
