NASF Special Edition Empty NASF Special Edition

2/11/2014, 4:08 am
Since the original upload is total shit I figured I'd do this. While I was at it I decided to make some adjustments.
From the description:
- HQ video quality (double resolution, perfect framerate, captured in lossless quality).
- Flash file was exported with high quality settings for audio and images.
- Visual tweaks to fix some annoyances.
- Enhanced sound effects, along with low quality samples changed out for proper ones.
- Audio desynchronization has been fixed. This is the first time the animation can be listened to as intended.
- Mega Man vs Samus scene included where it originally belonged.

Hmm... I wonder if this means NASF 2 is almost completed...

Oh man I love this animation. I've had to watch the old version at least 100 times by now. How you got Kirby to say Chaos Control is beyond me though. I remember that was insane back then.

It hasn't even started. I'm working on NASF DX right now.

I still love it, but I can definitely see it's not as mind blowing as I remember. I guess that means I got a little better?

I dunno

lol

i imagine it must have been such a really meticulous process to cut up all the little kirby soundclips to do that. effort that still very few people put in their stuff.

also idk what the hell you guys are talking about, this is still great and i've seen every frame of this at least 4000 times

I'm so unhappy with it I'm remaking it from scratch. The quality in NASF is really lousy and I'm ashamed especially because I could've done a much better job on the animation back then.

i do see indeed a lot of places that could have been better but i think you're just saying this because you're so much more capable now. it's natural.
although to be honest if i were you i'd just focus on NASF 2 but i'm not you soooo

I've felt this way since I made it. I knew what I was capable of and when all was done I felt dissatisfied with what it was. I also had to cut so many ideas due to either Flash limitation or skill limitation. The original idea for NASF I had was heavily butchered and watered down, then animated poorly and exported in bad swf quality.
I made so many stupid design choices.
Why does Mega Man suck?
Why do characters often stand around staring when they should be taking action?
Why does Zero get up from Kirby's attack then run after Sonic?
And don't get me started on the visual failures, such as the botched backgrounds and awkwardly animated bits and pieces all throughout the movie.

Did you make Shadow's Chaos Control effect? I don't think I've really seen that anywhere else unless it's just a manipulation of another effect.

Also, seriously, how the fuck did you get Kirby to say Chaos Control? I was thinking you had to have edited Shadow's chaos control clip but I have no idea how you could get it to sound like Kirby.

Lastly, I still think this is freaking amazing. My favorite part though is how the music syncs with the title. I thought and still think that was/is genius. I still think the choreography of this animation is still amazing. I mean sure there are some things that don't quite make sense like you said, but the parts that did were executed amazingly well. For example, when Kirby copied Sonic's ability. Again, genius. Still looks great too.

he just cut up kirby's sound clips in phonemes and pieced them together to create that

Yep Leo answered for me correctly thanks Leo.
Also if you're referring to the effect whenever chaos control is used, I made most of that too.

Yea this brings back lots of memories lol but I do agree, I feel like now when I look at it it's not as amazing and rather than redoing it I would much rather see Like a new one then again its up to you I'm sure whatever you do will be great because I feel like you going to put a lot more effort into it and blow everyone away
