man they are just adding a lot of cool things to this one. They are pushing the Wii U and 3DS to its limits.

ADOPT A CHAO!!
(figuratively speaking of course)

Can't wait for Nintendo's E3 presentation with Smash bros. Hopefully they'll talk about exclusive Wii U stuff since and release dates of at least the 3DS version (hopefully early Summer and not August)

We're probably going to get the last of the roster at E3. Maybe leave one last character to reveal just before the release of the game as a final move to drum up hype.
Also while seeing more about Wii U exclusives would be cool it doesn't really make much sense to focus on the Wii U version just before the release of the 3DS version. All their marketing will probably be focused on the 3DS version. Then they can focus on the Wii U version once everybody has already bought the 3DS version.

I just want more Wii U everything. 3DS has tons of 1st and 3rd party support, show some love to your main fucking console Ninty. You bought an entire new headquarters for game development, show off what you can do D;

Biggest problem with the Wii U is how fucking secretive they've been about everything, and it doesn't help given how early the Wii U came out. They did not have their usual launch titles and the Wii U's early games were weak. It took some time before any worthwhile games came out, and even after all this fucking time they haven't said ANYTHING about the next entry in the 3D Mario or Zelda series, and have all but abandoned their classic popular franchises like Metroid and Star Fox, not so much as commenting that they have anything planned. The hype is not only long since dead, they're continuously missing the opportunity to get any hype going. All it would take is a mention, a teaser, or screenshot of SOMETHING regarding the next Zelda or another major franchise. Yet even now, fucking zip. They better have one ass kicking E3 or Wii U is pretty much done. MK8 and Smash Bros at that point would just be life support.
I doubt it will be the full roster. I'm betting the farthest they'll reveal is the starting roster and leave unlockable characters secret. Sakurai regretted revealing the entire Brawl roster on the website before the game was released, along with tons of other information about the game, which is why they've been so much slower and methodical about the information they're revealing.@BlitznBurst wrote:We're probably going to get the last of the roster at E3. they already said they were going to show it at this e3, and they even showed hyrule warriors. so that's 2 zeldas

no argument there, all I've heard are rumors/speculations

They hardly "showed" Hyrule Warriors at all. They gave us like half a minute of footage and a name that may not even be permanent before completely forgetting about it, and while that may technically count as "showing" the game it's barely a step above just saying "this exists" and leaving it at that.
They've confirmed that they're already working on the next 3D Mario game for Wii U. Where have you been?3D world already came out....where have you been?
I forgot about unlockable characters. Still, the way they've been revealing characters makes me wonder if they're even going to have unlockables this time, or if they just don't really care about revealing characters that were already in the last game anyway@Mr Lange wrote:I doubt it will be the full roster. *has already stated that his internet was off for the past x months*
anyways it hasn't been that long since worlds release. so even if they started back then I doubt there would be anything worth showing right now(and if they do have something worth showing at this particular moment in time then its most likely getting saved for e3)
its the same case as the new Zelda. we didn't see it last e3 because Nintendo felt there wasn't anything significant to show. so are you really complaining that you didn't get to see garbage footage that isn't worth your time?

Super Mario 3D World is not the next 3D Mario game. 3D World is not part of the 64/Sunshine/Galaxy lineage. It's part of the new branch they started with 3D Land. You can easily fucking recognize this by the gameplay.

3DW was good, but yeah its' not a true 3D open world Mario game.
And that's kinda Nintendos new style. They're very conservative and secretive, don't really hype stuff, don't really release stuff until its pretty much about to release. They're very Japanese obviously, compared to over hyping the shit out of everything 3 years before the game is remotely playable then forgotten about 1 month after the game is released.

It's true the whole being secretive thing is sucky for them. I mean look at all the hype since they've been talking about Smash Bros and Mario Kart.

Are Brawls with friends better than random online battles? Because my online experiences in Brawl have generally been fairly unpleasant.

I was mostly referring to the horrible framerate. Unsure if it's my connection that's the problem, or just Brawl itself

frame rate for online tends to depend on the connection of every person playing said match.
I'd join you guys but I'm busy right now. if possible I might be on around 6(hopefully earlier)

lol, for someone who complains about wich controller you sure fight good even when theres slight lag.
that actually reminds me of the time I accidently countered links triforce slash. now that one is tricky. it only works with 3 people though. if timed correctly link will fly past ike/marth and hit the 3rd player if the 3rd player was behind marth/ike
