SFC: Derek vs Scythe

Had a 1 week deadline on this, animated like non-fucking stop, this took a bitchload of time. Experimented with a lot of things that I've never done before. Wish I had more time to made the fight longer. Inspired by xKAreloadedx too~

It's obvious he does a lot in after effects. That's how eric did it for the castle collab 2.

I never said it wasn't, he probably does it in flash first though, that's why it's called AFTER effects.

Damn Derek this was just a nicely done animation that was good for the eyes too moves,physics,effects and all were just nicely animated good job bro.

Damn, this is really nice. My question is, how long did this take to render? I want to start using After Effects but that's the one thing that's holding me back.

Depends on the file type you export it too, some file types takes hours, some minutes.

Originaly I think for him it was going to take about 7-10 hours. Thats what he said.
But he got mali to do it on his new computer which renders a lot fast. Took him
a few hours but he didn't render it with the full plug ins so the render time went
down with that.

With heavy details and effects it always usually takes a few hours to render a few minutes.
At least its better then a 3D program which takes days at times lol

One of my 3D animations took 13 hours to render.

An exquisite animation. The lighting effects and subtle 3D background movements really made this animation even more appealing. One of the few AE animations that actually makes me consider incorporating AE into my animations. Well done.

See, I just can't do that. If I'm gonna throw in an effect I really have to do it right at that moment instead of afterwards. It's like I can't progress if I don't put it there... >_>
