I think they don't really want to compete with new consoles coming out. They'll probably have a bunch of their Wii U games hopefully.

Man you idiots take things out of context way too easily.
They're not having a major flashy expensive conference like everyone else is. They're still going to be at E3, with a floor to present game demos for the games they're announcing. Then they're going to have a closed conference for developers and distributors, and another conference for everyone else, which may be a huge Nintendo Direct. That's what Nintendo is doing, rather than just pouring money into a fancy presentation (lol Usher), they're going to have 3 smaller ones, each one directed at the specific target, and the biggest output being GAMES. This way everyone is happy and has all the information they need. They're going to have a bunch of small Nintendo directs to be uploaded in between now and E3, then a huge Nintendo direct on E3 for all of us to drool over. This all part of the new approach to delivering information personally, to the specific ear that wants to hear it. These things are proving to be effective, as shown with the recent skyrocketing success of the 3DS, and all of the hype that gets built whenever Nintendo releases a Nintendo direct.
Everyone is going fucking nuts thinking Nintendo is dropping out, or "Scared" or something. Every elitist (like Face here) using anything to stroke their ego for a moment, even if it means purposely disillusioning themselves. When it's the exact opposite, they're attacking their market much harder.
Which is actually a smart move that Sony and Microsoft should follow upon.
Typical.

Face, wasn't it you who said "less is more"?
Nintendo is showing less, giving people that "what could they be doing" idea and also keeping their projects a secret from Sony and Microsoft.
That is a really REALLY smart move.

Yeah, I knew there would still be a presentation and they'd still be showing games and such.
Shame there won't be a massive show this time, but it's not like a fancy prsentation is necessary for a good E3.
Especially considering past E3 conferences. We're getting all the information of past E3s without the super-embarrassing shows that go along with them.

I think a lot of people expect a lot to be shown at E3, but our expectations are one of our greatest enemies lol. I already assumed they want be more tactful when I heard they weren't going to be having a conference like Sony.
