I was fine with the new comments thing, I made a 100% anonymous G-plus account, but the comments don't work.

Okay is anybody else having trouble with the YouTube video player? I can't go five fucking seconds without the video freezing. I know the player has sucked ever since they used dash playback or whatever it's called, but it's never been this uncooperative before.

i can watch videos just fine but sometimes it does freeze when i try to replay them

i never get problems with the player...what browser you use?

yea...I never know when one of my vids gets comments anymore....

Basically YouTube is implementing this new policy against that of game play footage and such. All of those commentary type videos that generate revenue from the viewers donations and such won't be allowed to do that anymore. YouTube is saying that it isn't the uploaders material as they do not own the content that they are commentating on. Which is obviously true but its now split to two sides, Those who agree it isn't their material and shouldn't make money from it and those that agree that they should be able to make money from it.

Which is incredibly stupid because if I am considering buying a game then I go to YouTube and look for videos of people playing that game. I specifically avoid the "official gameplay" videos as those are not even usually indicative of the game's actual gameplay. I'll find someone who is just playing the game and decided based on that and a load of other factors if I want to buy the game. And a lot of the times I will buy the game because I'll see that this person is having fun, I want to have fun too, so I should buy this game. If there's no gameplay for someone else playing, then it's gonna be hard to convince me to get the game.

All we can do is sit back and watch youtube dig this grave for themselves....
