Fixing sleep schedule Empty Fixing sleep schedule

2/28/2013, 9:35 pm
Like. My sleep schedule is super messed up right now. I am a nocturnal human being.

I will sleep throughout the whole day and get up late at night.

Now it's getting really annoying. I NEED HELP D:

Example:

Sleep at 8-10am
Wake up at 4-6pm
Stay awake all night
Repeat

My body has adapted to this. As anyone ever had a messed up their sleep schedule and fixed it?

Fixing sleep schedule Empty Re: Fixing sleep schedule

2/28/2013, 9:42 pm
well I just sleep for 7 hours...I'm trying to get use to 6 hours of sleep....

so my schedule would be like

Sleep at 11-1:30

Wake up: 6:13

My best suggestion is don't sleep at all for 2 days straight and go to sleep at night... that's what I usually do during the summer.

Why would you wake up at 3am if you went to sleep at 10:30pm?

Ok, look stay up all night today, into the next day and when it get's to around 10:30pm to 11:30pm go to bed. You should be tired after having stayed up all day so you'll get your hours of sleep in and wake up in the morning and everything will be fixed.

I don't know. I somehow woke up and then felt completely active.

Because a sleeping schedule doesn't have a logical mind and thinks, "I slept at 10:30, I should wake up at 6 or 7 or something", it's going to wake up after the person sleeping just stops feeling tired, not after the amount of sleep that is typically needed for a good night's sleep

Your circadian rhythm is really out of sequence man.

I suggest, using an alarm, and doing physical activities to keep yourself away. Other things to help, eat vegetables, fruits, and drink a lot of water. Try waking up at like 6AM every day. And if you need a nap, take a nap. But remember, a NAP, and nothing more. So one to two hours maximum.

The human body usually will get tired around 2PM - 4PM, depending on their schedule. (After school, or after work.)

But if you make strict times and fix your diet, you should be set.

Exactly. If he stays up all day (which would be equivalent to someone staying up all night) then by 10:30pm he should be dead tired or at least tired enough to sleep for about 7 or 8 hours and then wake up in the morning.

Well, I have stayed up. I took a hour nap earlier today like Patt mentioned. I can get a nice sleep tonight.

I only sleep for like 12 hours if I haven't been sleeping properly throughout the week. But that's half a day and I'm just realizing this.
