Project: Celestial Fuse

Well, I finished it in less than a week. I sure hope animating in Flash isn't as much hell as it is in After Effects (then again, I only used 30 fps in all scenes).
This is a little test of concept, as well as training with Adobe After Effects. The characters used here may not be used in the actual episodes. But in this concept hundreds of worlds/dimensions are involved, so anything can happen in it. I'll upload a newer version when I can come up with a decent title. It's not gonna be something with Z, GT or AF at the end!
But yeah, my first ever sprite animation. Do not expect to see this "series" from beginning to end, in the future I wanna try out making animations with 100% original sprites by me. But ofcourse if it gets enough attention or I start to get a liking for it, I'll keep working on it.
Edit:
After rage quitting YT's BS, I decided to give NG a try. I forgot that they actually upload video files nowadays as well.

why is the stage so laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrge? I like it. No major complaints besides how it was slow in some parts

Good animation. I highly recommend you start animating in Flash. There's more freedom and ways for animating your sprites, backgrounds, objects, and what have you.
For your first sprite animation, I thought it was interesting, and good. There isn't anything eye-popping, but definitely good. Majority of us animating with Flash CS3, so you should look into animating with that wonderful program.
What's mainly interesting is what you're making it out to be. Hundreds of worlds and dimensions, 100% original sprites. It sure did grab my attention. I look forward to it.

Yeah I know, that's the default in NG for some reason. I recommend rescaling it to the original size, there's a button for that abov the stage
I will defenaitely try out Flash when I get a hold of it ^^
I just hope you can import PSD-files like in After Effects

PSD?
this means?
anyway nice animation, but the hits looked slow, and try to add some better combos. Be more creative with your combos.

I like this. The best thematic element was putting the Elric brothers side-by-side with the Mario brothers. That could have made for a fun plot. Which brings me to my point: don't just hint at the presence of an interesting story! Actually make the story!

And they're not really sprites ^^;
Well as I described in the first post, I wasn't really certain whether I'd continue with this concept or not. I've decided to give it a try, 2-3 episodes or so. Depending on reception, we'll see where I go from there.@Grognor wrote:I like this. The best thematic element was putting the Elric brothers side-by-side with the Mario brothers. Wow. I really like how you made the worlds fuse in order to have the characters together, instead of just having them randomly together. pretty clever

Yeah, I know. That's the default in NG when uploading video-files. It's not my fault, the original size is supposed to be 640x480. Just resize it with the button above the stage.
