That's too bad. Besides some of the dumber reasons he makes a lot of good points.
"you can have others beat a game for you."
what the fuck is up with that.

well if the game is to hard but you want to unlock something that can only get unlocked from the hard difficulty...then its understandable.
and believe it or not there are people who like watching a specific game but not playying it,(example, i have a frind that doesn't like playing mortal kombat deception but likes watching me play through it)

I personally don't really like playing games, but I don't really mind watching people.
Re: The PlayStation topic

I like to watch other people play video games. That's why I'm subscribed to like 150 people on YouTube who play video games and such. Idk why I'm like this though, I just usually prefer to watch people enjoy themselves rather than partake in the enjoyment.
However, when I am playing a game I want absolutely 0 help. When they said that you could have people help you (this kinda goes for the Wii U as well) I thought it was dumb because part of the biggest satisfaction you get from video games is figuring out how to beat it. That's why games like Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, God of War, Portal, etc. were amazing games because you couldn't just mindlessly play it and beat it. You had to think about what was going on and how to adapt and how to beat the level or whatever.
To me, this is just proof of the fact that more games today are becoming focused on having a better multiplayer over single-player which, IMO, seems wrong because games are great because of their inclusion of the player into the story and atmosphere of the setting. People are just more focused on trying to be the absolute best than actually getting into the game...

yea a challenge is fun, but its nice to have the option for multi as well, thats why i like it when games have both so you can do 1 playthrough solo and a separate playthrough on co-op. theres nothing wrong with having back-up(and also seeing who can get the most kills on the hardest lvl)

So what, just because you like playing the game yourself, nobody should have the option to play the game because of one level? If you like to play the game yourself, that's fine. It's not like you have to use the feature. It's there for people who want it.

I know, that's why I explicitly stated that what I said was my own opinion. The bigger issue I really meant to portray was the switch in video games which is the emphasis and importance of single player that is being moved to the emphasis and importance of mutliplayer.

Multiplayer adds replayability to a game, as opposed to playing the game once and then forgetting about it because there's no replay value whatsoever.

Again. My issue is not the ADDITION of the multiplayer. It's the idea that multiplayer will have more importance than single-player which could result in failure. This is an issue with the developers NOT the game.
Coincidentally, DYKGaming released a Did You Know Gaming? video about Kirby. Here it is:
If you skip to around 2:46 the narrator says "The developers ultimately realized that the previous attempts [at making Kirby: Return to Dream Land] failed because the focus of multiplayer" which is why they instead focused on a better single-player.

and in the end it still had good co-op that you could turn on or off in an instant, and other modes, both single and multi were eaqually fun for kirby.

Maybe if they just are able to see them play, but it wouldn't count as beating the level or whatever they're doing. like it wouldn't be recorded it'd just be a viewable video for help

They still had to realize that single player was where they needed to place their focus.

I already asked him that, he said he didn't care because he hasn't played 1 yet.

I wonder what specifically was wrong though, this isn't the first kirby to have optional co-op/other multiplayer modes, they've must've had some serious experimentation going on and tried to add features that were never in a kirby game....otherwise ids how something they've gotten right for years could suddenly hold them back.
oh that reminds me....eh i'll make a seperate thread for it other wise it'd be sooooooo off topic

I saw the title of "PS4 and moving away from shooters" on IGN. Hopefully this fixes gaming.
