Ok, if you hate reading GET OUT.

Anyways, anyone here know what visual novels are? Have any of you read any? If so, what did you guys read?

I haven't read a lot but I have read:

Clannad
G-Senjou no Maou
Don't take it personally, babe, it's just not your story
Saya no Uta

and right now I'm reading Steins;Gate and it's AMAZING.

Not sure if I've ever read a visual novel before. I think there was this fullmetal achemist book with a bunch of pictures though some years ago.

Yeah, a visual novel is essentially a book that you read on your computer that includes visuals and usually voice acting for the characters.

From what I see I guess most of you haven't read any visual novels. 'Tis a shame, but y'all should definitely try some out. I recommend G-Senjou no Maou for the people interested in reading an insane detective story that will literally blow your brains out, Saya no Uta is for the people that don't want to go to sleep at night (seriously, this VN will fuck your brain up), and Steins;Gate for the sci-fi people interested in time travel and junk.

Some of you anime watchers may know Steins;Gate as an anime, but before it was an anime it was actually a Visual Novel. Some visual novels that are really good have an anime adaptation to them as well. Usually animes leave out a lot of missing info so if anyone has watched Steins;Gate then they should check out the VN as well. Lol

Yay! Lol, if I can have at least one person to discuss them with then that means this thread was successful. Lol. Anyways, VNs take a long time to read. I recommend you start with Saya no Uta because you would surprised at how fucked up your brain can become from reading some crazy shit.

I'm about to watch it. It won't be the full story because that's usually how things go, but I've heard good things about this anime as well so I am going to check it out.

@Granny: Lol, no. In visual novels you get the story along with voice acting and music to bring out certain areas more
