Good job on copying the title art.

Aside from that, it's too high-key, there's no darks at all.

I think you should try and get a little better at sprite animation first...

Pffffft tal is kind of right. If you want to draw, start from copying then you can start making full customs. And srx..... sprite animations doesn't matter here.... Even if he copied this, It's better than your sonics. Leo is right thou... where are the shadows? It looks more like candyman. But seriously if you copy something plz tell it. It's felt like you tried to say that this is your own picture.

Copying is a part of the learning process, yes.
But in no way that makes it right for you to simply copy the entire pic and then post it on the web. Instead, keep that on your computer. I know because I usually copy some drawings. But uh, a tip, when you copy those, try to make it seem like you were the original artist.
So draw it like you would normally draw something else from your head, starting from the bigger forms, wrapping guidelines around them (SO YOU CAN USE THEM, THEY'RE NOT FOR DECORATION), and doing the same for the medium and small forms.
If you REALLY wanna learn how to draw, do that, but also draw your own stuff, learn basic art principles like color theory, perspective, construction, composition, all that crap.
And lastly, uh, it takes time to actually get somewhat decent at it.
