Kinda old but eh I don't care

That's what I look for in sprite animations.


Also this may show how you can apply such principles in your animations to make them WAAAAY more alive...


...and maybe cartoony as well, but if we work with some pretty weird stuff (hedgehog that runs at incredible speeds and has a (sort of) human body just to say one example), our stuff shouldn't be bland.

Same here. It's VERY good. I've actually grasp it's purpose. It's mainly on one game but that particular game has so much realism til it's not even funny.

Psh, who needs animation principles when we all know the way to make a great animation is to fling characters around the screen while the BG is blurred and in motion?

Well I believe secondary action and anticipation should be in more animations around here.

And this is all common sense, I knew all that, seriously. Thing is that many people don't use these when it could really make their stuff be awesome.
