My CG's n other stuff
10/15/2011, 4:18 pm
OK before anyone says anything I know we have a gallery for this but when i went to upload it said it was full so I decided to post my drawings here. i wanted to post these sooner but i don't have a scanner(borrowed my roomates)
sometimes its original sometimes its fan made. my work is very inconsistant meaning my more recent drawings can look worse than my older while my older ones can look extreamly well done.
and heres an older one.
so yea tell me what you think and I might upload some more in the future....well maybe...feeling a bit lazy with the drawing so it might just be older shit.....maybe a few new....who knows.
EDIT:I was gonna upload 2 but for some reason the other one got fuked up when i uploaded it.....also these are bigger than it should be so yea....

The extremely bad points are his face and hands.
Also from what I see you're probably drawing his body based on square forms. I don't know if you really did it, but if you are, then well, see this thing.

lol You should then.
It's pretty easy, why are you not getting right?
Remember that you're drawing solid masses and other solid objects, so these go around the stick wireframe.

Thing is that you don't need to know all the names of all the muscles and bones in the body, you just have to know about the facts, functions and how they make up the major forms of the body.
If you actually go and try to learn every single thing about anatomy and then have it all on your head, go ahead. It'll take like 13059890 years to make an good drawing.

You don't even need to know the name, just the functions and your set.

You don't even need to know the functions, not even the names, just learn shapes. Circles and triangles, it is how I draw my amazing artwork.

Yeah don't know the functions and then you might just think that it might be good to use an arm as a foot or so.
As for the shapes, use 3d ones. Come on Patt, are you purposely being dumb or you don't really know stuff about drawing?

I know all there is to drawing, have you not seen my two great works of art. The anatomy there is perfect.
And I'll have you know, in all seriousness, I fully comprehend the entire oscillation there is to the human body to the general complication.

lol
Well I'm not gonna say anything about it, but if you ever want to take drawing seriously, then you might need to learn how to make stickfigures and then build a drawing based on it.
Because as far as I know, no one draws directly unless they want the final result to be out of proportion and completely weird.

It's not neccesary, but it's probably the best way to do it.

Obviously it's necessary. Unless your character is made out of unfitting parts which were thrown at the paper and then left there.

It's not necessary...many artists will tell you they don't like using stick figures so they don't.

I usually just sketch out my drawings lightly. I hate drawing shit figures.

^ same, I went 2 years with that stick crap and none of my stick based drawings end up as good as the ones i've shown you guys.......then again that might just be a result of my inconsistant ass.
