Yeah man Lange was pissed but it's fine. 20 FPS was a little easier to adjust to than what I thought.

It's not hard. At one point I used 30, then 25, and now I can comfortably use any FPS.

Besides, the PC that I have flash on is already slowing down big time, so every animation with more FPS puts more of a hurt on my computer. I have at least 3 projects going on right now, but everything is being devoted to this as of right now.

But I'm not giving up on this. If all goes well you'll see something great and fresh in spriting, something often not done. Taking sprites to these next levels is what I wanna do.
I don't want sprites to continue to be a laughing stock and the lowest of the low when it comes to animating. I want people to see it for what it is, a catalyst for ideas. The artwork may not be original, but what the creator portrays with these characters and pieces of art is what matters and the effort he puts in to making his vision seem more life like and overall awesome.

I believe R1665 is doing a great job already. There isn't a better sprite fight animator in the business in my opinion at least.

What is ruining it is the terrible Alvin-Earthworm knockoffs that find their way through the NG portal on a daily basis.

We discourage that here. We constantly try to encourage as much originality as we can. Alvin made something great and it's been soiled by those immitators. And yes R1665 has done a splendid job at giving us something fresh.

Well, I have no problem with imitation. As it has been said, it's the sincerest form of flattery. Which is what we are doing in this collab.

My problem with the copycats is the fact that they are all little kids going through their "sonic stage" and the quality in their animations are GOD AWFUL.

Seriously, I've never seen such terrible dialogue that was ment to be taken seriously before.

To me there's a fine line between inspiration and straight up ripping off. Those kids are doing it for the fame and because it's cool, the others are doing it because the appreciate the art and wanna use it as their medium. And usually the ones who do it for the 2nd reason make more quality stuff, even if it can be similar or imitating alvin, you can feel when it's in tribute and inspiration, than when it's some kid who saw something popular and wanted to be the next best thing with little effort.

Well Patt, I am not having a deadline yet. Parts keep rolling in in a timely manner and the way this collab is setup people can get the animations done quickly.

The number of parts is a bit complicated and these are all estimates so bear with me:

1. The number of finished parts - 15
2. The number of finished parts assembled in the collab flash - 10
3. The number of unfinished parts - Anywhere from 3 to 10 I would say.

My original goal was for 40 parts... I believe I could deal with 20-30 parts now. Mainly because the file size is getting up there (Although I haven't optimized the audio yet... expect that to lower it significantly) and the actual theme song of the collab is getting closer to the end of what can be used for the skits.

The length as of right now is 80-ish seconds I believe.

I think the skits may end up adding to a total of 120 seconds or 2 minutes.

It's actually a lot longer then what I expect 10 parts to be.

Of course when I really think about it, we are at the perfect length.

These things aren't ment to be long anyway.

What I personally want right now is that preloader that I can't remember who is working on. The idea proposed is beautiful.

The preloader is being worked on by someone right now, the menu is going to be worked on by eric at some point and the intro is in the most recent preview at Newgrounds.
